Crème de la Crème

Crème de La Crème, or affectionally known as CDLC, is a sweet tooth’s wonderland, rendering handcrafted petit gateaux and mouth-watering ice cream. Matching stylish interior and funky furniture pieces, CDLC creates a fun and hip ambience to relish in an array of 18 lush, homemade ice cream. Personifying the definition of its moniker, this dessert bar prioritises in procuring the cream of the crop – from exceptionally skilful and passionate pastry chefs to insisting on 100% natural ingredients, and using only top-of-the-line machinery – all to bring to Malaysians unrivalled quality ice cream texture and taste.

Tanuki by Crustz

Another dessert bar we fell in love with early this year was Tanuki by Crustz, a charming nook tucked away in Taman Bukit Indah. If its moniker sounds familiar to you, you’re not far off because Tanuki by Crustz is the sister patisserie of the famed Xiao by Crustz. Tanuki by Crustz embodies similar French influence as its sister, yet differs in offerings. You would find petite, individual-sized ice cream cake. This dessert bar reflects Japanese concept with a Japanese racoon, sliding door, wooden accents in the furniture, and dim lights for a cosy, indulging ambience. The creations here are a labour of love – each dessert is intentional, layered with different textures and flavours to create a heightened dining experience as well as an intimate conversation with the pâtissier.

Kind Kones

“Taste the pleasure, not the guilt.” Kind Kones is the purveyor of handcrafted, all-natural vegan ice cream. Every bite screams passion and love. Just as the name implies, Kind Kones is kind to your body. Instead of using refined cane sugar or artificial preservatives, stabilisers, emulsifiers, colouring or other synthetic additives, the owner, Serina S Bajaj uses coconut sugar, maple syrup or agave instead. If ice cream doesn’t float your boat, you can also enjoy a generous selection of raw cakes, bread and more — without the guilt.

Jaslyn Cakes

Jaslyn Cakes is the ultimate destination for those who love all things sugar and spice. From classic cupcakes to delectable macarons, this bakery has something for everyone. But what sets Jaslyn Cakes apart from the rest? It’s not just the delicious treats, but the whimsical and charming atmosphere that makes it feel like a dreamland. But the star of the show at Jaslyn Cakes has to be their signature cakes. From the decadent chocolate cake to the light and refreshing lemon cake, each one is a work of art. Each slice is beautiful and leaves you wanting more.
